Richard B. Cheney, distinguished businessman and public servant is vice president. Cheney known as a prominent figure on the Washington political scene, was a vice president under several U.S. presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush. He will serve as the fourth and as an elected official. Bush chose Cheney in July 2000 as his running mate, noting the wisdom and judgment of Cheney. Dick Cheney has served our country as chief of staff to presidents. He served in as a member of the United States Congress and servedas secretary of defense. It's clear that he is an honest man who has the respect of all Republicans as well as Democrats. Cheney declared that he perceives his role within of the Bush administration as a frank, but discrete adviser. Cheney took the Republican Vice Presidential nomination in 2007, stated that the he is looking forward to having a President who is willing to work across the political aisle and work with his adversaries in respect and an unifying goal. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941, on the outskirts of Lincoln Nebraska. When he turned 13 old, he made the move and his entire family moved into Casper in the western part of Wyoming which is where his father was the director of the local soil conservation district of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
