In the following days, a plethora of students from around the world joined the #FridaysforFuture strike, which saw students skip school on Fridays to demonstrate against the effects of climate change. Climate activists from across the world joined together to organize this Global Strike for Climate. It was hugely successful; more than 1.6million people from over 150 countries took part.
