Zazie Olivia Beetz was born in Berlin in 1991. Her father is an German cabinet maker, who immigrated into the United States in 1990 after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, and her mother is a South African-American social worker from New York. Jennifer Aniston is also a graduate of the same highschool. Beetz went on to pursue her French education in Skidmore College, after graduating LaGuardia. Following graduation from Skidmore College, Beetz immediately began auditioning and was offered the part in the role of Van in Atlanta. She was born in Berlin to the parents of a German father as well as an African-American mom, Beetz was brought up in New York speaking both German and English at home. In community theaters as well as local stages since early childhood, Zazie found her joy in grade school and grew into acting. Zendaya achieves her Disney Channel breakthrough role Zendaya has a great dance talent. The dancer and actress got her first big break-through role in 2010, when she appeared with Bella Thorne as Rocky Blue in the television show "Shake it up". Zendaya went vegetarian at the age of 11, after passing an animal slaughterhouse together with her dad on a roadtrip. PEOPLE quoted her saying: "It seemed awful to me when I saw all the animals crammed into the slaughterhouse and waiting for their deaths. I couldn't believe that's how I'd been getting my food!" She's been eating predominantly vegetarian diet ever since.
