The kids were at the crib, as I was strapped with one of them to my back. Ha! Ha! It all started to be clear, but wasn't quite done. This was going take the time, energy, as well as my personal favorite to complete the interior of this house. In order to keep my budget intact, I went with my three boys in search for deals at estate sales. Our routine for the week consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through estate sales and garage sales to purchase a mix of old and new pieces while I spent weekends painting and sanding the driveway. The furniture I found looked similar to... This is when my desire to repair furniture was born. When our house was decorated, I couldn't give up! There was a spot on the market in town that I could sell my pieces. It was possible to expand the area because I had plenty of pieces that I needed. My house was transformed into a space in which I held open houses. Up 1000 people would be able to view items from my first floor before purchasing them. Growing Days is the result from this. My business was booming, but my family was also growing. As a young mom I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own company and be a good mother. Growing Days seemed like the perfect fit. My daughter Nora was our fourth baby. I adored where my business was going, but I wanted to take a breather. I made the decision to take some time off from my vintage furniture and slow down to stay at home with the children. It was the ideal thing to do. It was only after several months that my phone began to call. Many people called me seeking advice on home improvement and decorating. They had mainly attended my house during the open houses for furniture. After a while I started taking on clients according to my schedule. Soon I had numerous accounts as well as a home renovations business. I'm sure you would have made me laugh if you had said that it would be the foundation of a DIY Network tv series. Indeed, I am laughing slightly when I recall the story.
